Getting married in Maui is simple, but there are some things that are a must. Following is basic information to help you understand these requirements. | |

A marriage license
is required in the State of Hawaii. It can only be issued by a state appointed
agent. These agents are very busy and an appointment must be made
ahead of time to insure that a license is obtained. Currently the
fee is $60.00, which is paid directly to the agent at the time of
application. There is no waiting period or residence requirement therefore
you can get this license upon arrival. So upon your arrival it is one of
the first things to be done. we will make the appointment for you with
someone close to where it is you will be staying. Photo Identification (Drivers License is sufficient) If divorced within last three months bring decree If widowed, bring death certificate If you are under the age of 18 bring your parents No blood test is required License is valid for 30 days in the state of Hawaii Non Americans must provide a visa/passport There are literally hundreds of ministers and officiants to chose from on Maui. We will make this job very easy for you as we have our favorites and they are our favorites because we know they are dependable and professional. With your information and our experience we will identify the ones that best suit you and your ceremony. Their ceremonies can be made available for you to review and make changes if you wish. Since you have chosen to get married in Maui it would make perfect sense for you to use a Hawaiian officiant/minister. Many of them add alot of local flavor to their ceremonies. Reception/Showers/Rehearsal Dinners/ Bachelor Parties Many couples think that since they are away from home they will not be able to enjoy the more traditional events surrounding a wedding such as rehearsal dinners, bridal showers and bachelor parties. There are so many ways to make these events memorable and unforgettable here in paradise. You can schedule a group booking at a luau or have a private one, do a dinner at a private estate, charter a yacht. Once again the possibilities are endless. We are able to make these arrangements for you. The groom and his party can take a chartered fishing trip or arrange a private party aboard a yacht. The bride and her ladies may opt for a day of pampering at the spa, a night on the town or a flight to another island!!! Receptions can be as simple as reserving a space at a restaurant, as elegant as a catered dinner on a private estate or as tropical as a luau hosted by the wedding party on a private estate! Whatever and however you would like to celebrate this beginning we can make it happen. Talk to us and let us know what you are dreaming about and we will put it together. Nothing is to wild or to tame. For every couple it is different and that is the way it should be. So a quiet intimate dinner on the beach with the just the two of you or a luau hosted by the new couple with fire knife dancer and hula girls can all be a reality. Pictures are an absolute must on this beautiful day. There are several types of packages available and many photographers. We will of course make these arrangements for you with our favorite and most reliable. The pricing information is not listed because it is subject to change without notice by the photography company so we will get you a price at the time of booking so as to avoid confusion and added stress. Also there is always a possibility that our first recommendation is not available and the next company may have different pricing. We do recommend that you have some sort of photos taken, even if you have the wedding coordinator take them with you camera. If you want we will take digitals and put them on a CD for you. ( 25 shoots for $25.00, this includes the CD). If you or any one in your party should require formal attire there are several places to rent them here. This is ideal for the groom's party. We will be happy to make fitting appointments for you with our favorite one LaMour Bridal or any other you should choose. If you would like to arrive at your wedding site in lavish style we will make Limousine arrangements for you or if you are getting married in the Kapalua area there is a horse and carriage option. There are also some luxury vans on island that can transport a group of you at a time. Let us know how we can help with this if you are interested. Flowers are an important part of weddings! So what ever it is you need, bridal bouquet, boutonnière or centerpieces we will find the simply beautiful or the exotic tropicals. There are many florist on the islands but most are extremely busy and you should make contact as some as possible. Our decorator is a decorator because she loves it and this allows her creativity to flow. Her inspired creations have made many occasions, from baby showers to weddings absolutely unforgettable. If you require her services we will put you in touch with her directly so she may talk with you and she will create your dream. We have teamed up with two of the very best bakers on Maui to bring you the very best in flavor and design. Whatever you prefer is not impossible with these two. |
